APPLY BLUSHER CORRECTLY IN ACCORDANCE TO YOUR SKIN TONE AND FACE SHAPE! BRUSH2BLUSHERS GUIDES US ON LOOKING OUR BEST WITH THE RIGHT TECHNIQUES.
Blusher and eyebrow pencils are perhaps the most important tools in your make-up kit. Blush is important for you to look fresh and radiant. But not everybody looks good when they apply blush. Here's the right technique for your face shape and skin tone.

- Choose the perfect colour to match your skin tone best. For fair Asian skin, use peach. Tanned skin, on the other hand, looks great in apricot.
- After matching your skin tone, choose the right formula for your skin type. Do not use shimmery blusher for oily and combination skin. Opt for powder instead. If you have dry skin, use cream or liquid blusher.
- Use a blush brush that is full and soft. Do not use a wide fan as it lacks control and is too wide for the cheeks.
- Always dab your blusher on the side and not from the top of your brush. Also, do remember to tap any excess off. Less is more!
- This is the tricky part. This step is Application. Knowing your face shape well can help you look more beautiful than the typical application of blusher on the apple of your cheeks.
- For Round face shape, apply the blush in a crescent shape application.
- For Heart face shape, apply the blush in a crescent shape application. But do not drag the brush too diagonally.
- For those with Oval face shapes, congratulations. This is the perfect face shape! And because it is perfect, application depends on the kind of image you want to project. If you want an innocent look, apply the blusher on the apple of the cheeks.
- For Square face shape, if you want a natural look, apply blusher on the apple of the cheeks and use a slightly darker shade of blusher to softly shade the corners of the jaw line to soften the square face. Just brush a little at the jaw line after application on the cheeks.
Whatever your face shape is, always, always, always apply from hairline towards the corner of mouth and not upwards from corner of mouth to hairline. |
